University of Information Technology and Management

University of Information Technology and Management (UITM) is a private, non-profit institution of higher education located in Rzeszow (the South-Eastern part of Poland). From the beginning, the UITM philosophy has been to provide quality educational programs geared to serve those seeking a solid foundation in knowledge and skills to be competitive in the job market and to obtain successful employment involving the application of state-of-the-art information technologies.
Among private universities in Poland, UITM is one of the leaders in the number of students attending both weekday and weekend programs.
The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate studies in 7-degree programs, among them Master’s Degree in Economics, International Management, Information Technology and Econometrics as well as Engineering Degree in Information Technology.
UITM strives to encourage scholars to broaden their knowledge and furnish them with practical skills offering them an access to diverse interest groups. Some of them are Economics, Computer Programming, Multimedia Technologies, Computer Networks and Systems.

UITM expertise in relation to the project can be considered from two perspectives:
  • expertise in current issues related to Information Society, Information Communication Technologies and new study programs based on extensive use of ICT;
  • national and international cooperation;
The University of Information Technology and Management is involved in multiple activities related to the analysis of the current trends in the development of Information Society:
  • National and international conferences (some of the recent: Media and Local Democracy, European Labour Markets, Young in the face of Lisbon Strategy, Virtual Campuses – New Education Dimension, Lancut Economic Forum 'Reverse Learning')
  • Research projects, analysis performed by the Institute of Economics (areas of interest: European job market, careers of the future and socio-economic conditions, business growth in peripheral regions, equalizing educational opportunities for young people in peripheral regions, and others.   • Invited lectures, seminars for UITM students and staff led by recognized authorities from the world of science, economics and politics
